Customers assuming you’re new is so annoying for no reason(self.starbucksbaristas)

“Oh, you must be new.” No, I’m not new, I just don’t work mornings.
“Did someone tell you about my drink?” No, I make your drink every time you order it, of course I know your drink.
“Ask the people around you! They know my drink!” No, you’re not important. Tell me your stupid drink.
So freaking entitled😭

oh I hate this with every fiber of my being. "So and so knows my drink" , "oh cool... they aren't here so tell my your drink". "so and so doesn't add that to my drink, they let is slide", me: "well that isn't allowed and against policy. I'm going to have to charge you for it". I swear, they act like I'm 100% new and can't function....
no, I hardly work mornings and just because my co-worker gives you extra freebies doesn't mean I'm going to.

Had this happen a couple of weeks ago with the so and so doesn't charge for that. "Thank you for letting me know. Since I'm their supervisor, I will speak them so they are following company policy going forward. And you total is X."The look on their face.

Oh my gosh this reminds me of sometimes when there's somebody on bar and then there's nobody at register at that moment when the customer walks up so is a barista just says to the customer "what can i get started for u today?" And the customer tells the person on bar what drink they want and then soon after all walk up to the register and I'll notice that they still need to be rung up so I go up to the register and ask what drink they'll be having and (regular or not) they say "ohh shes working on it already" ...no shit but i have to type it in the register so u can pay

There’s a regular everyone hates and every time I’m not on bar, she acts like I’m new at register and it’s so frustrating cuz I’m probably the only person rn on staff that still has patience with her

it's the worst.

we have a regular at my store who acts like this. she’s an 80 year old woman with pink hair and she’s SO sweet, but damn. she’ll talk about how she doesn’t recognize anyone working and if she does recognize someone, she’ll ask for them to make her drink.

I had a customer get very violent and abusive with me yesterday because I didnt know their name or their drink when i've never met them in my life. It was my first traumatic experience with a customer and now I have really bad anxiety about going to work. My manager came out and took his order since they know him, but nothing was handled and he came in again today and did the same thing. Refused to say his order. My manager was on standby so nothing escalated, but it's amazing how Starbucks encourages this extreme self-entitlement. I'm to know the name and order of someone i've never met. Insane.

The way that customers will rudely tell me “You’re new, aren’t you?” No, I’m not. Even if I was, why the hell does it matter? I’m not making your drink so shut up and pay, then move… you’re holding up my line!
