I don’t know about y’all but it pisses me off when I get sent on a 30 just an hour into my shift. Then y’all gonna have me bust my ass the rest of the day, end up giving me my breaks late. It’s annoying. I run shifts all the time and never have to give a lunch before two hours in.

it makes me angry when i’m scheduled during sunday peak 6am-12pm and i get my 10 within the first hour :(

Check your labour laws. In my state the meal period legally has to be after the 2nd hour.

Both Oregon and Washington. Lunch breaks legally have to start between the 2nd and 5th hour.
I don't know what other states do though, so maybe the meal break laws are different

I worked at a Target Starbucks for 3 years. I tried working at a corporate Starbucks and quit after 5 days because of this exact issue. I get needing all hands on deck for peak, but having to take a lunch 1 hour into a shift is FUCKED.

My shift leads always ask if our break is earlier. They are totally ok if we don't want to, but sometimes I'm exhausted enough after a busy ass first hour that I'll be like, yes please I'm already starving and dehydrated lol
