is it always this hard to transfer? 😣 (self.starbucksbaristas)

I know it's probably my availability (any day, any open, even Friday Sat Sunday until 2pm 3x a week) 🥲 but I'm an experienced partner, shift supervisor, and barista trainer with multiple years of experience, so i honestly never thought it'd be this hard. Its been like a full month of searching at this point. I even had my boss write me a letter of recommendation and applied through the starbucks website to every single shift supervisor (I'm willing to demote at this point) opening there was, regardless of how far away it would be from my home. I'm about to try to demote and apply everywhere but idk what to do, can I just ask to pick up shifts around the whole city somehow???? I'm so frustrated.

Our dm just explained to us that in order to transfer we fill out a transfer request form, sm gives it to dm, dm reaches out to dm in area we want to transfer to and they work to find us a spot in that area. That's the official process but I don't think it's being followed everywhere. That being said, you're a ssv who can only work until 2 and only wants to work 3 days a week? Yes, it's probably your availability.

That makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE I've been trying so hard but it's hard when each manager is in and out at their own schedules. The thing is that I'm even willing to just be a filler for if people are sick is the thing? It's never been an issue and i literally have maybe a 0.5-1.5% missed shift rate over 4 years but Idk 🤷‍♂️ all I know is that this sucks haha. 😂
