huge miss today. (we were overstaffed) (self.starbucksbaristas)

today was a dream i’ve always wished for. we had
- 1 on warming
- 1 on POS
- 1 on Bar 2 (DT)
- 1 on Bar 1 (Mobile & Cafe)
- 2 on cold bar
- 1 on DTO
- 1 on DTR
- 1 SSV
- 1 on CS
normally for peak, we’re slammed. cafe, mobiles, and DT is jam packed.
so, our SM expected great things today because of the holiday. our peak was amazingly staffed. 10 partners.
so. what happened?
between 7-9am there were only 22 cars. cafe was no busier. it was dry.
this was probably the biggest miss i’ve ever witnessed.
to top it off, most of the openers left at 10am, by the time I left at 10:30, their DT line was out the parking lot (over 13 cars) and now they were down to 5 people. i’ve seen bad calls before but this one was crazy off.

Your holidays will typically have a later peak in the day, because people will head out once they’re out and about. It’s kind of like snow days.

yeah today was weird at my store. everyone expected an early peak but we got peak at 12, after all openers had left and most people were leaving/mid was coming in. overstaffed in morning too

memorial day is a classic late peak. everyone is sleeping in for their day off.

Yesterday I had 4 partners and a like similarly long from 8ish AM until I left at 1pm. 4 partners. 4.
