The partner guide specifically says you can call out for mental health, but you don’t even need to give a reason. Just call and say you aren’t feeling well and can’t come in. Your manager might want to know if you’re experiencing covid symptoms, but they’re not entitled to any info other than a yes or no.

personally wouldn’t recommend stating mental health as your reason. not every mgr is understanding and it’s a lot easier to just say you don’t feel well than have to try to justify it tbh

don’t ever give a reason. ethically, your manager shouldn’t write you up for that. but that’s not gonna be every managers mindset. there was a person who posted that got a write up for calling off due to period pains even tho that’s also completely valid :/
if you can be as vague as possible, do it!

One of my shift supervisors contacted my manager one day when i was at the store working with my manager and the shift supervisor said shes been crying all night and morning and that she might not be able to come in and my manager ended up getting off the phone with her and gossiping to the other shift supervisor to where i heard it. It was sickening to witness that. Then she said that she's going to leave it up to that shift supervisor to see if she comes in or if she finds someone to cover. Like she was pretty much saying that she was waiting to see if the shift supervisor that called in would end up doing the right thing by coming in or doing the wrong thing by staying at home. That's just what she implicated and it's pretty pathetic to come from a manager or anybody really
