how long did it take for them to reach out after your interview? i interviewed monday the 30th (2 days ago) and i haven’t heard back so i’m feeling not so hopeful. on my starbucks careers profile where you can view your applications it says my application was updated yesterday (the 31st) but it also says it’s still active. so im kind of confused. also do they reach out to u if u didn’t get the job? do u think maybe they’re still deciding? i just hate wondering and would appreciate any input!! also- i know for a fact they interviewed a few other people which is why i think they may still be comparing notes and deciding

For me it was like a week I think. I wouldn't be too worried, just give them some time. If you don't hear anything in rhe next few days don't hesitate to give the store a call

They’re probably waiting for your background check. The update is likely them asking for it and they’ll reach out after it finalized. Usually about 3 days to a week.

Background check happens after the offer. The applicant has to consent to the background check and that happens after they've offered the position.

Really? My boss said he was doing it before and I got a call a week later. Or maybe I’m remembering it wrong.
GuySmileyIncognito 1 points 1y ago
He might have said something like "I'd like to offer you the job subject to a background check" or something like that, but the offer comes first and then you get an email consenting to the background. It would be a waste of money to background check an applicant you weren't going to necessarily hire.

Call them back around 11am - 3pm on a weekday if you haven’t heard from them yet. Or just go in person. The manager might not be there, but even if you just leave a message with a supervisor for the manager saying you were there to check up on your application it will look good. A lot of us never actually did that, I never went in or called ahead when I submitted my application or after I had my interview but I think I was just lucky. So I would still recommend calling or showing up because sometimes the difference between you and another candidate can be something as small as who called and who didn’t. And even if they decided to go with someone else it gives you a chance to find out why and perhaps convince them that their reasons for picking someone else might be misinformed. It can take several days, or you can be offered the job on the spot, it really just varies.

They told me on the spot if i was eligible lol. I know it can vary from store to store though. I would wait a few days n then give the store a polite call asking about your interview if they dont call you first. Best of luck!

I would call them back on day 4 don’t be shy about letting them know you want the job.

Did you end up getting hired?
Remarkable_Hold_2342 1 points 1y ago
Personally I got hired on the spot, but I know my friend who works with me had to wait about a week to hear back before they started the process of the background check and another couple weeks to get scheduled.

For me it took like 1-2 weeks, I got worried as well but eventually I got an email

I was hired on the spot. But I know our manager has called new hires back a few days after the interview.
caitlin_marie_gg 1 points 1y ago
10 days but i was told it would be 10-14 days after my interview
ProjectJupiter 1 points 1y ago
It took a day for me, I think. They originally told me they would reach out within like 5 days though.
