I’m a former partner trying to apply to a store near where I live, but when I applied the first time the taleo job posting expired and automatically rejected my application. The SM told me that wasn’t supposed to happen, and that she’s struggling with taleo trying to figure out how to get the posting online so I can apply to it, because otherwise there’s no way for me to apply to that store location.

This whole process started a few weeks ago. I called a week ago and she said she’ll contact me when the job posting is finally up for me to apply to.

Just wondering if anyone else has been through something similar and when it’d be appropriate for me to contact the SM again if I don’t hear anything from her soon? I just reaaaaally want to work at this location considering how close it is and the later store hours. Idk what to do at this point, I just really want the job.

The SM probably needs to clear the requisition so it can repost. There really isn't much you can do on your end. I had this same problem with a requisition, cleared it then waited 24 hrs and it reposted and I was able to start hiring people.

She mentioned she was gonna call taleo to get some help on getting it reposted, I just hope as the weeks pass she doesn’t forget about me. I keep checking daily to see if it’s posted, I’m just hesitant to call the store again because I don’t want to be a pest, and as you said there’s really nothing I can do :/ I’ll just keep waiting for now and hopefully hear back soon. Thank you!

The system has been down for weeks bcs the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I'd call again and also just check the website again. Good luck!

Thank you! It’s a relief to know I’m not the only one experiencing this. Was there anything you did to eventually be able to apply? Or did you just wait?

My sm was pretty consistent with checking on the system herself so I didn't really have to do much except check my emails to make sure I could apply when it reposted, and then click the background check and then on boarding.

Thank you for your help and insight :) It’s been a week since the sm told me she’ll contact me when the job is reposted, I thought I would’ve heard back by now but I’ll wait another week or so and hopefully hear back. I really want the job but I don’t want to be a pest, I know they’re super busy.

I'd say wait til Monday since that's admin day. Last mon was a holiday so unhelpful. But this Monday call and check in. It's better to seem eager then uninterested imho
