As an SSV (still new at it though) we have a bunch of new hires and depending on the time of day/how busy it is, I like to put them on bar just to get practice in. Sometimes though, it gets really busy and we just need a stronger partner on bar to get those drinks out. You can always ask the play caller that day if they can give you bar time at some point. Tell them why and they should try to put you on bar with someone to help. Sometimes they also need reminding! Good luck :)
