I'm so tired. (self.starbucksbaristas)

I used to love working here but we got a new DM. It's made it so much worse.

First, he takes down our boards without any notice. He throws away all the pictures on our puppy wall in the drive thru, including one that a lady who's dog died, and she couldn't get the picture back. He takes away the MATS?? The rubber ones that stop us from slipping? He through them away without telling anyone. I already slip enough with non slip shoes. Then he takes the table from the back that we put our drinks on so we can have a sip real quick and it's not too far from the floor. So I put my water on our break table because I need water constantly. Nope. We can't keep drinks in the back AT ALL. So everytime I need water (which is a LOT) I have to drink it all in one go. So not only a waste of plastic but also a waste of everybody's time.

I'm trying to hard to find a remote job in customer service but it's impossible with only starbucks on my resume. I'm so fed up and I'm tired of standing for hours with only a 10. I'm tired of being scheduled just under the time for a 30. I'm TIRED dude and I don't have a reason to stay other than money.

I would call Starbucks corporate and let them know what’s going on. No DM should be doing taking away all those things, it’s against Starbucks standard.

Thank you

you should absolutely call PCC and let them know what's going on. They cannot refuse you the right to keep water on hand, and I'm pretty sure fatigue mats are required per the Store Ops Manual.

As for WFH customer service jobs - you can get many of them without any experience, but Starbucks still counts as experience because it teaches conflict resolution and de-escalation tactics. Don't sell yourself short! You'll want to look into entry level stuff, maybe data entry? Most of them are going to be taking/making calls - that's what I do right now.

Everytime I apply to a job on indeed, hundreds or thousands of people apply for the same job. I never get a reply even when I reach out again and if I do it's saying they have better candidates. And what's pcc?
StormTheParade 3 points 1y ago
Yeah the market is kind of saturated at the moment, but there are still some out there! I know a lot of the /r/workonline folks recommend RatRaceRebellion but I haven't really tried it. The two WFH jobs I landed i got through staffing agencies lmao

PCC is like the company HR, it stands for Partner Contact Center.

Wow.. Like our jobs weren't hard enough already. Definitely reach out to pcc. You shouldn't be working under a dictatorship such as you described.

Good luck and keep us posted. 🤞

My hubby works a remote CS job. They are currently HIRING. Check out $1

They are essentially the airbnb of pools.

He really likes it, everyone is kind!

dude.. THANK You

They are ALL remote!!! Listings make it look like they are not. They list them under LA or other "offices" but they are fully remote. We live in Minnesota. They have a small home base office in LA - but no big weird corporate center

That's actually super helpful! Oh my gosh thank you, ll definitely apply ❤️

I actually don't see any remote options 😅
RegularAsk143 3 points 1y ago
If you pick a CS listing scroll down to close to the bottom - it says there they are a fully remote company! Hope that helps :)

Thanks!

Any of the CS positions require only a laptop, wifi and the ability to log in to Slack and Zendesk - we bought him a cheapy HP laptop for like $350 and it works perfectly for this.
