How long does it take to get your first pay check? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m in California and I start my first day on the 23 of may. From my understanding, everyone was paid yesterday for that pay periods. Will those hrs of that week just roll over to the next pay period?

They were paid yesterday for the paid period ending the *week before* the actual payday. For example, for the pay period 4/25-5/08, payday was 5/13 (5 days after the pay period).
You'll get paid on the next payday- just double check to make sure you get paid for all your hours! (Shouldn't be a problem though.) I had the same question when I started.
