I have orientation Tuesday. But I wanna make sure I have an understanding on the dress code. I printed it off but I’m still confused. I only have three questions.
What do you all usually wear?
Are jackets allowed?
Can I wear my crocs? (It’s the marble black/white ones)
I know I can just ask my manager on Tuesday but I would like to know as much as possible beforehand

I usually wear dark blue or black jeans and t-shirts that I bought off coffeegear.com. There is an icon that says which items are work approved. You can wear a jacket that is in the correct color scheme but nothing with a hood. I prefer to wear a long sleeve undershirt rather than a jacket. A jacket makes it too hard to move. Crocs are not allowed except for the work Crocs. They’re the ones with no holes. I highly recommend getting those. They are comfy and nonslip. But otherwise, shoes have to be leather or rubber uppers and I believe all black or brown (not totally sure on that) and it’s recommended to be slip resistant. For me, non slip is a must! I used to wear Docs but switched to my work Crocs. Good luck to you! Welcome!

They can also be gray or navy (anything in the color palette other than white)

I don't think the shoes need to be solid black or brown, I believe they can have accent colors.
OP, the reason you can't wear regular crocs with holes is because if you spill hot coffee or water, you *really* don't want it burning your feet.

No crocs unless they are work crocs (no holes and cover the whole foot), no hoods, but jackets are okay.
Shoes must cover the top of the foot and heel and be water resistant, and black, brown, navy, or gray (no white) with small accent color allowed. Nonslip is HIGHLY recommended.
I usually wear jeans and a plain Shirt
When you look up the dresscode, look for the single page PDF - the multi page “look book” is outdated and inaccurate

Theyll give you the employee handbook and in it theres the dress code and all things allowed + not allowed. Get insoles for your fav pair of shoes and find stuff that fits the dress code colors that are comfy to work in and go from there. I wear a lot of black and combat boots (my only non slip shoes. You WILL need nonslip, not evem bc of rhe dresscode but bc of how fucking wet everything is!). I would keep the dress code in mind but keep an eye on what your other partners are wearing as enforcement of the policy varies from store to store

Big yes on the non slip, I left my boots in alaska when visiting family and had to work before they could be sent back to me so i took some sneakers and coloured them in with marker, always talked shit about how the non slip boots aren't very non slip, turns out that the boots were way better than I realized

i usually just wear jeans and a t-shirt or sweater (no hoods). jackets are okay, as long as it doesn’t have a hood because those are safety hazards. no crocs because they have holes in them and if something falls on your feet (which happens often) it could cause harm. i can’t say for sure how all managers feel but mine is pretty chill when it comes to the dress code (color wise, style wise) as long as it doesn’t cause any safety hazards

If you are a Crocs fan, get the for work ones. Super comfortable and non-slip. We have a small Crocs army in my store.

If you Google “Starbucks dress code look book” you can find the exact guide ahead of time. Crocs are gonna be a big no, your feet have to be protected. I typically wear a pair of Doc Martens, I bought them specifically for work because I was tired of burning through shoes. Other than that, I typically wear jeans and then a dress code acceptable top. In the summer I wear dresses a lot because it’s hot as junk in the stores, so I’d recommend having either a dress or some shorts (4 inches about the knee or longer) to wear if you don’t wanna melt.
