I learned when I was 12 it was a dick move to show up to a business right upon open. Recently the level of entitled 20-40 year olds showing up first thing and demanding quick service for their whole office or car of tic tok drinks is beyond me, let alone the ordering from the back seat at 5am and demanding your mobile order through the drivethru seconds after your mobile sticker printed at again 5am

a few weeks ago there was a huge storm where i live and our store lost power so we had to close. most of us who were scheduled had to stay until our shifts ended anyways in the dark with the doors locked because there was a chance the power might have come back on. the amount of people that were banging on the door, trying to open it despite the sign that says “closed due to power outage” was astonishing

People really think they can get their Frappuccinos with no electricity 🤦🏻♂️

Yeah earlier this week I had a customer come up to the drive thru window, it was literally 30 seconds before we officially opened. I had just grabbed the headset and not put the battery in yet. She waved at the window so I opened it and told her to pull around we were just about to open, because I wasn’t about to take her order at the window. She’s a fairly regular customer and is often very demanding about how specific her drink should be made.

You learned wrong. That was a bad lesson to learn. You should have learned that if you go to a business at open, be polite and tip. And then always do that no matter the time of day.
It's fine. The store is open. You're the one who sounds entitled.

there's a difference between "arriving at 5:02 when the store opens at 5" and "arriving at 4:50, waiting by the door, then waltzing in with your demands the second the doors are unlocked"
the first one of those things is exhausting but understandable. the second is pretty unreasonable unless you're going to like the apple store on launch day.

Again... if you're rude, it doesn't matter if you're there at open or at noon. Rude is rude.
But no... it's fine to "waltz in with your demands" if the store is open. Some people might refer to that as "entering an establishment to place an order."
Again... don't be rude. Ever. But entering a store after right as it opens is not rude or inconsiderate.

it's definitely annoying

Not in my opinion.

yeah i learned to be polite and tip but these people didn’t. they learned to be rude and demean me constantly, which i do not tolerate
fuwaldah-1 points1y ago
I'm sure they'd do that no matter the time of day.

I think they mean the cars that park at the speaker or window and expect to be helped even before opening hours, or the ones that expect a fast service even though there are clearly only 2 people working during open and there's a line of cars or people ordering right at opening.

They clearly said after the store is open. I'm just saying... it's fine to go to a business when it's open. It doesn't mean you're a bad person.

I agree it definitely doesn't, you're only a bad person if you're rude because the service is a bit slower at open than at other times of the day.
