That’s so ridiculous… and I love how Starbucks spokesperson sounded like an automated voicemail “"We open and close stores as a regular part of our operations,” A Starbucks spokesperson said in a statement. “Our local, regional, and national leaders have been working with humility, deep care, and urgency to create the kind of store environment that partners and customers expect of Starbucks.”

Permanently closing? This will have even more impact on the other stores come August when thousands of college students come back. It will absolutely put a strain on the other stores in the area and is likely part of a larger plan to get union workers from the other stores to quit.

>They say they walked out because of a hazardous grease trap that had been a longstanding problem.
>Now, Starbucks is citing that grease trap as a reason for permanently closing the store on June 10.
Funny how they say it's because of the grease trap issue (as if they didnt know before it was needing attention🤨), but it wasn't until workers took action to ensure it gets fixed that they decide it's so bad they have to close. Seems like clear retaliation, " if we have to pay to repair things and operate a safe work environment, we will just close instead"
