hey yall, i was finishing up my modules yesterday and read about the green apron cards. have any of you actually gave them to a fellow partner while working? i think it’s a cool idea, but i’ve never seen some one use them or talk about them.

i have written a few out! i think i’ve received 2 or 3 as well! not every store is huge on them but it definitely helps boost the morale and keep the motivation flowing (:

When I put in my notice, I wrote green apron cards for quite a few partners who really made me feel appreciated in my time there.

Yes. I used to write them pretty constantly. I need to start up again. It's nice to tell people you appreciate them.

at my store we have a board up to write green apron cards… but my name isn’t on it 🫠

fwiw, it’s a similar situation at my store: our previous ASM made our green apron board but no one’s updated it since they left, though a bunch of people have been hired/left since then

Our store isn't good at using them but our new AM is very into relationships and connections and community so sometimes on his shifts he has everyone fill out 2 for the day. I think they're super cool and it felt great getting them.

yes my store uses them a lot!!! we all love it, sometimes when i’m having a rough day i read through all of mine to give me a little boost in spirits : )

I’ve handed a few out, but now we have a green apron bulletin board with little apron pouches for each barista in the store and we can leave each other cards in there it’s very cute
