until I worked for sbux…….all this time i thought the display case had all fake food yet we throw them away daily :/ (some stores differentiate) 👀🤯

Dude its so gross, we just need to do away with it all together. Not only is it wasteful, but it attracts so many flies. Then we gotta deal with people who get big mad bc we wont serve them the shit in there. Like bbgril no its filled to the brim with fly eggs and has been there since 5am! Gross!

I hate it. It’s so wasteful. Get this WE ARE ALLOWED TO SERVE THAT CRUSTY ASS FOOD. I always tell the customer “I mean technically yes but I wouldn’t eat it.”

So if you have a cake pop that’s been opened all day in a random bin, what is the difference between that and the case? (As far as I see, there’s no difference.) they both go out at EOD, regardless. And our case is done daily.

That's weird. We sell actual pastry items from the case. We do have to tell the crusties that's where it comes from tho.

We only sell out of the case if it's our last item. Like a loaf or a cake pop.
