Actually, put a grande dome lid on top of the pitcher before you close the blender. You can do 3 Venti this way too, it keeps the blender lid in place

tbh when I'm making layered fraps unless they're no whip i make a size down so that way there's significantly less waste and they still end up getting the same amount of frap either way, if it ends up being slightly less i just add more whip to make up for it 😂

seriously. I did a triple venti batch blend of the ribbon crunch and ended up having enough leftover in the blender to fill a grande cup with NO bottom whip

the waste with layered fraps is ridiculous tbh, i understand there being a little bit with regular ones but when you can make a whole other drink with the waste that's just excessive

People who know that Starbucks allows it. 😔 It’s a shame that able-bodied customers think this is okay. It’s our job to help them learn that this is not okay for the people in line behind them. I believe that our customers can learn. It’s up to us to teach them.

“We thank you for your business and would be more than happy to accommodate you, but not in the drive thru. With such a large order, we please ask that you come inside to pick it up, so that we may serve other customers in the drive queue while working on your beverages.” Or if the floor has one person free enough to run them all out, offer that. I just pray to the Sbux demons that this doesn’t happen at my store until I’m on vacay.

Can you ask them to park somewhere and then wait for their drinks to be made (VERY slowly?). I mean holding up a line in DT like that is just an a-hole thing to do.

Batch blending without waste just requires using less product for each drink. I learned this at a smoothie shop I worked at.
I don't know the why of it but the more that gets put together the more expansion is created.

Someone yesterday came through our DT could not understand them at all through the speaker (they just kept yelling so it took about 2-4 minutes to figure out they wanted) finally figured out it was a Venti Iced Matcha w/ cold foam. THEN when they pulled up took another 2 minutes to figure out that they didn’t want 1 Venti Iced Match w/ cold foam they wanted 9 more 🥲🥲🥲

What we do if they’re at the window and it’s a big order like that we ask them to come inside cause it’s a really big order and have the pick up the rest of it and hand them what is made and have someone work on other orders in drive while the other one finish the fraps
