I still wear mine, not really for covid but because these people around me are always sick amd it's nice not catching anything 😌 i get to use my sick time for vacation 😅

even beyond covid protection, give up what allows me to talk back to customers under my breath? take away what so conveniently covers my chin acne? literally over my dead body. i unironically love the masks and would never do another service job without them. stand your ground and stay safe! my manager asked if they could remove the plexiglass at the registers, i said if those go i go 😂

I'm one of the only ones left. And guess what? Covid outbreak in my store. All those no longer wearing masks are pretty much down sick.

I stopped for a tiny bit and then a bunch of people at my store and around me got the new strain and so I began wearing it again… I plan to wear it at least for the remainder of the summer… and I agree! It’s great to be able to talk back and make faces without customers seeing 🤪

I still wear mine for many reasons. Mainly because it protects my face from all of the milk/syrup splatter from bar (which used to give me horrible acne)OR from getting splashed in the face when doing dishes. I also just like not having to be aware of my face and it helps with my social anxiety. I also just like the idea of wearing a mask when I’m working around food🤷🏻‍♀️

About 75% of my store still wears them. I’m about to transfer soon and I’m going to continue to wear mine weather they do or don’t. At the end of the day the only person I can trust to keep me safe is myself and I’m going to do what I can. We see sooo many different people each day so how can we trust they are being safe? In January I was out for covid for two weeks came back to work for two days and then out again for a week because I got the stomach flu and then a week later I got food poisoning. I don’t want to go through that hell again lol. (Also I go covid from a family member during christmas not at work) I’m a five year partner and have worked through the entirety of the pandemic while wearing a mask and haven’t gotten covid from work so the masky poo is staying on haha

yeah /: most of my store isn’t but i still do, the county next to us just brought back the indoor mask mandate, and my guess is we’re next as cases are starting to rise in CA again. my grandma JUST caught it, she double vaccinated and boosted and always always always wears her mask, but still got it. so i’m definitely keeping mine on

I have covid & several people I know now have covid too. ONE DAY I didn’t mask up & now I’m suffering because of it. I absolutely recommend masking up still- the pandemic isn’t over.

There are only 3 of us that wear a mask during our work shift. We've had 5 covid cases in our store just this month... so I don't see myself not wearing it anytime soon.

I still wear mine for the same reason-it’s nice to have some anonymity. Plus I don’t miss creepy old men commenting on my smile or looks. About half my store partners still wear them.

i still wear mine, every day! only a couple other people still wear theirs, but i’m not taking mine off anytime soon. most of my family is vaccinated, and so am i. i really don’t need to wear one but i feel a lot safer with it on. i had mine off when i was mopping while closing, and one of the partners said they’d never seen me without my mask before. and i told them that i wear it for comfort and nothing else. you do you!

Weve got 2 or 3 who dont, but the rest of us either have children, immunocompromised people we live with, or basic empathy, and keep them on. Even if we arent required to i refuse to risk getting someone i care about sick. I just wish our store had the choice to enforce it, as a lot of us would rather the mandate stayed in place

for me it’s a couple reasons like honestly since wearing a mask i think i’ve been sick once during the winter i never had a runny nose or anything i have been shielded from pollen during the spring and it feels more comfortable not letting people see my whole face because i know for a fact i made some weird faces under my mask now especially when customers have an awful drink order

There’s a lot of people at my store that still wear them! Don’t feel peer pressured to take it off, it’s up to your own personal beliefs and feelings

Besides covid protection, I’m not good with the customer service face. My mom used to tell me she would smile even when it hurt in retail. I am not putting myself through that bullshit.

i do! not because i necessarily want to anymore bc it gets hot af but because i have multiple facial piercings. that way i don’t have to take them out! & i have yet to find good piercing retainers smh

i do still wear my mask i feel the same basically. only a few people in my store still wear a mask and im one of them. i'll sometimes take it off while closing if it gets too hot bc i dont mind being maskless around a 2 other coworkers, but i refuse to interact with customers if im not wearing a mask cuz i dont feel comfortable. even if every single last person in my store stopped wearing them id continue and that goes for outside of work too cuz ppl are just gross to me lmao 🤣

I’ve only been masked up the past week because someone caught COVID and I was exposed. I tested negative but still have to wear a mask until this Friday.

I do and only two other people I know also still wears them. Plus sometimes customers (not most tho).

However, my store manager has started to act like she just cannot hear me with the mask on. It’s so frustrating. I am immunocompromised; you’re not going to get me to take this off just because you’ve started pretending you can’t hear me with it on, esp when I’ve been wearing it for a couple years now.

Myself and one coworker are the one two who still always wear masks, but almost all my coworkers occasionally put one on. Idk why they only do it occasionally, but at least him and I do it.

In my store the people not wearing masks are in the minority. I'm off and on, mostly depends on how annoyed I am. Vaccinated, have had Covid twice (once before getting vaccinated, once after). We have at least 4 people the double mask with KN95s.

I do when customers are in the store, but take it off when I’m in the back doing dishes and whatnot!

I personally don’t wear a mask but that’s because I just don’t enjoy to. I’m not against it, I keep masks in my car in case I ever still need to wear one or am with someone who forgot theirs and would like to wear one. I have a few partners who still wear them for a number of reasons. #1 being they don’t want customers to see their whole face and they don’t have to smile as much 😂

I wear mine most of the time because I really don't like being sick with anything and more importantly, my face can be read like a book. I walk around looking like 😐 24/7 and I already know it'll piss off customers.

Majority of the store except like two or three people stopped wearing one the day we were allowed to not wear one. I didn’t mind wearing my own fabric mask from home but I was pissed about wearing the blue one cause it irritates my face so much and would make me sweat more than fabric
