there is a greenbean at my store that smokes cigarettes. i dont care what you do personally but she is the only one who smokes. she asks to take multiple smoke breaks a shift on top of her 10 and 30 that last up to 20 minutes. how should i go about bringing this up? on the off chance im missing a policy that allows this could someone fill me in??

You're not missing anything. We all get the same breaks. Smoking on them is optional. But smokers do not get extra breaks. Are you a supervisor? Tell them no, they get the same breaks as the rest of us. If they push back, talk to your manager.

i smoke ciggys on and off, it takes me 5-10 minutes at most if i’m really taking my time but smokers don’t get extra breaks usually just because they can’t last. it sounds like they’re taking advantage of you tho bc 20 mins is a really long time to smoke

Must be American spirits amirite? Jk I smoke and I can't believe some people would ask for 20 minutes, 10 is plenty. 7 is how long it takes on average, to smoke a whole coffin nail.

Dude yes, when I smoked, right before I quit, I smoked American Spirits!!! And they took fucking forever, truly. I’d smoke half at a time, most of the time.

extra smoke breaks are to a stores/companies discretion. you are not allowed to just give yourself breaks to smoke. like damn i’m a NIC FIEND but i can still wait until i get to my car on my tens to hit my pen
