(Hard of Hearing). My shifts have been making me feel so shit for speaking up to have my disability accommodated to. Does anyone know what I can do to make my situation better / what actions do I need to take to bring to light the discrimination I’m being treated with?

You need to call partner resources to request an accommodation. Literally nobody in your store has any say on it either way.

Let your manager know immediately and if they don’t do anything I would contact partner relations or your DM. Regardless if you have an accommodation or not you should treat everyone with respect but especially since you have an accommodation for something that you can’t help. Im sorry you are going through this but don’t allow them to treat you that way. It’s not okay!

Literally so close to quitting at this point. Been working there longer than them and for months I’ve worked with them and they get angry when I express my disability and give me a hard time even when I just remind them. I’ve told my manager twice and I feel no change coming about.

Do you possibly have a decent DM? You can always go to them if your SM isn't doing their job right. If not, I'd either transfer to a slightly better store (lets be real, all starbucks kinda sucks) or find a new job. Fuck all that though. I'm really sorry you got shitty partners :(

One of the partners at my store has hearings aids and she was able to get a special headset that blocks out background noise to make it easier for her. Maybe talk to your store manager to see if that’s an option? Definitely talk to your manager about how you are being treated regardless! And if they aren’t willing to help out then reach out to the partner contact center.
