How often can I request time off? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Heyy, so I've already got a few days requested off months in advance here and there, I wanna say one or two a month on average but I make sure to put them in at least a full month in advance. I have a convention coming up in late July and it'll take a few days so I was wondering if its appropriate to call off or not or if thats seen as bad work ethic? The days I call off aren't holidays or anything either, I just wanna know the etiquette surrounding this

if you request it off (min 3 weeks notice) and the manager approves it then its not calling off and totally fine. I would speak to your manager and let them know what you need the days off for and make a request in the app. how starbucks works you can kind of request off whenever but if its too often or for too long a time period the manager will deny it, but a couple of days here and there shouldn’t be an issue. i recommend speaking to your store manager if you have any questions because they are in the best position to help you

mmmm at my store it irks everyone when someone calls off. since you aren’t scheduled yet maybe change your availability for the time you won’t be there but then change it back to your regular hours, IF they won’t let you request time off.
