Shittiest store ever. (self.starbucksbaristas)

After being on register for like 4 shifts in a row, I finally got bar time. Why? Why don’t they rotate us more? Ageism? Also, there’s never any feedback. I’ve been waiting patiently for a promotion opportunity that’s stalled. Finally, poor station boundaries. Always chaos. Partners tripping over each other. No handoff system. Why are regular baristas behaving like shifts. Why are YOU telling me to go on my break. Who the f do you think you are? Terrible communication. Been with company since 1/2020. 5 stores. This one is by far the shittiest. (Hollywood Boulevard in LA). The worst customers (minus the European tourists) and the most back/stabbing, petty, emotionally immature staff. I’ve always excelled at every job I’ve done. Not here. These b();&s are Gen Z and have no idea how to relate to a Gen xer. Either i get transferred/promoted or i give notice.

the shift always giving priority to select comfort zone to friends. It is really unfair, they have to rotate us. Lots of regular barista acting like micromanager.

Shifts normally don’t rotate us because the managers INSIST on keeping “aces in their places” but there’s no reason not to alternate when it’s slow. Your store sounds like it needs a new store manager since they’re cool with chaos.
