Help! Is this normal? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Extreme_Square5533
So, for reference I have worked for Starbucks before. I was just rehired last week and have to go through training all over again. So far I've worked 5 opening shifts. Two of those were spent training on customer support. The third was drive thru. The last two shifts I've been on, with no trainer even working these days, I've done all of the drive thru order, window, and oven for my entire shift. Even during peak. Is this normal? Because I don't feel like I was responsible for all of these jobs at once last time I worked for the company. I'm really questioning continuing if it's the norm now. I have health issues that are really being negatively impacted by the amount of multitasking and running around I'm doing.

that’s very normal when there’s no enough workers and it’s not too busy, unfortunately

But even during peak? I feel like my brain is constantly spinning.

Lots of stores are cutting down on labor hours and purposely understaffing the floor.. so yeah it's been normal 🥴

Thank you for responding. 😔

Why are you people saying this is normal. During peak you should be on one planted position. Not trying to do 3 by yourself. I sounds like your store is severely understaffed or your SM doesn’t know how to schedule enough people.

No this isn’t normal and you can ask your sm who and when your training will be completed
