It’s really just not popular!

It’s supposed to be puree to the ridge, lemonade to the first line, ice, base, blend!

it seems to me that most new baristas aren't familiar with it, it's incredibly unpopular so it's existence tends to slip their mind as soon as they're done making their first one in their training. the refreshers blended at this point are much more popular.

even more experienced baristas are becoming less familiar with it due to it's tank in popularity, just the other day two long term shifts at my store were bickering about the ideal amount of lemonade to put in the cup while making them.

personally i've made the actual blended strawberry lemonade you are talking about for customers and have had them be upset by it too many times, now when i ring someone out for it (or sometimes even if it's a newer barista on register and i make the drink) i make sure to ask the customer if they want a blended refresher or the strawberry puree with lemonade blended. usually including the word "puree" helps determine what they actually want

Puree to the bottom ridge, lemonade to bottom line, ice, base, blend.


If they're making it wrong tell them it's the one with lemonade and puree.


My store randomly makes a fair amount of these.

saying blended strawberry lemonade is correct. i actually make them relatively frequently because I enjoy them on my 10s. The way I make mine (and have the best consistent result) is by doing lemonade to the bottom line, strawberry purée to the second line, pour it in the blender, do a full scoop of the correct size ice for the drink, and then i do ONE less pump of the creme base than is called for because it tastes better to me that way and comes out less liquidy. Hopefully this helps!

This is a real drink??

my store doesn’t get it a whole lot.. but at least 3 times a day or so! i would (for a grande) put purée to the bottom ridge, lemonade to the bottom line, dump it into the blender, 3 pumps of creme base, and blend on 1! maybe mention that it’s the yellow button on the “blended” tab. that way the person who makes your drink will either understand what it is, or mention to a coworker that they’ve never seen that drink before and they’ll figure it out!
