10 years licensed and we were so slow when I started I would read the binders and cards out of boredom and just kept it up from there

Me. It helps that I have a semi photographic memory and was a BT for a while right before I became a SSV. I obviously couldn't tell you older drinks because I purge them from my mind, but anything current for sure.

There really wasn't a set recipe, but I prefer making it as if I'm making an iced latte even if I'm not filling the cup. I let the shots pour into the cup with the syrups or a shot glass and then once its all stirred I add the milk then ice or ice then milk depending on if they want extra ice or not. The new standard recipe based off the card is to pour the shots directly over the ice... which in my opinion makes the drink taste watered down if you like the espresso taste. We actually aren't even allowed to pour shots directly into an iced caramel macchiato because it'll melt the ice into the drink and change the flavor.

I think part of the reason for the standards change is not wanting people to be trying to get iced lattes for cheaper by getting shots over ice with extra milk, so changing the routine like that at least makes a flavor difference in the two drinks

I thought the new recipe went into effect summer 2 launch though? Is it supposed to be now?

Yeah that's what I think too! The new way also leaves less room for milk. I'm not sure I think so but our store starts trying to transition earlier to prep people for the coming changes. We've been doing the 3 rings of drizzle and if they ask for even more we tell them they can specify x2 to get 6 rings or ×3 to get 9 because 3 is going to be the new standard.
