Store Manager is a huge problem (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by anonbaristaandstuff
Ugh so I’m at a licensed store right? And the building manager is the highest up there is here and he’s a complete fucking asshole.

He picks on people he doesn’t like for no reason and is rude to everyone he speaks to like he’s better than us.

The other day he called my coworker a name and was insulting and mocking her to another coworker. Today I checked my phone for the time and he was watching the security cameras and immediately called the shift and told him to tell me to “get off my phone again” which is wild because I had my phone out away the entire time.

He also accuses us of “stealing” food and drinks and we get in trouble if we throw away any receipts for anything we buy.

The newest issue is that he’s trying to get this one girl fired because she’s having issues with her leg but he’s saying she’s faking it and he doesn’t want her here.

Is there literally anything I can do about this? He constantly bullies and belittles us and if I were in a cooperate store I would have reported him already.

You can anonymously inform someone higher up about this in the weekly partner perspective surveys

Will that work for licensed stores?

If you're in a licensed store, the process will depend on the actual company you're with. It'll be different depending on if you work for Kroger, Target, B&N, etc.

Realistically, your best bet is to send a complaint letter to whoever is above him and try to transfer to another location for your own mental health. One complaint usually isn't enough to do anything, but most companies will put it in his file at the very least.
