Should I go back??? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Few_Guidance749
So I was a barista at a store in a very very rich area with a lot of rude people. My manager was absolutely horrible and we were always really low on labor, therefore understaffed. I had put in my two weeks but then just walked out the same day due to the VERY rude things my manager was saying to me. My mom was just working at another Starbucks in a lower income area with much more humble customers and coworkers. Her manager is super nice and so are all her shifts. I have another job rn in which I get 16/hr, but hours are limited because one of our managers sucks. Should I go to my moms Starbucks and work two jobs or just stick to the one I already have?

If you need the money and think you will have a better experience try applying! But a few things to keep in mind, working with family always adds some more complications, neither of you would be able to promote past barista without transferring, and some managers are against hiring family even if both are baristas!
