Other stores consistently giving out the wrong drinks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by No-Tea2679
I’m a partner of a few months now, and I’m curious what I should do when I go to other stores on my days off and they just give me wildly incorrect drinks? I hate to be that person in the drive thru but I almost never get what I order even though it’s pretty simple. I just went through and ordered a shaken espresso (w/ an extra shot) , no classic, and sub sweet cream for the 2%. They gave me basically a latte made with sweet cream (I could easily tell it was not shaken) and it’s so much sweet cream that it’s basically undrinkable. I don’t want other baristas thinking i’m a pain since i give my partner #, but i feel like if they’re giving me this they can’t be giving anything correct out to other customers? should i say something?

Of course. You’re a partner but you’re also a paying customer. Just ask them for a remake the same way you would prefer a customer to ask you for a remake when you’re at work.

Yeah shaken espresso is a hard drink to get right since the change was made from “splash of milk” to “filled up with milk,” maybe ask for sweet cream on the side? Ooor since you are a partner, maybe mention that at the box and say light sweet cream or bring up the fact that you want the stronger espresso flavor! Good luck homie hope you get the right drink

technically i just said “sub sweet cream for the 2%” so i feel like it should be the same amount of milk? and even besides that they def didn’t even shake it, it’s very obvious to tell a shaken espresso from a latte when it’s made within like 3 mins :/ i’ll just have to stick to not ordering that one at different locations i guess lol

ask for extra ice, trust, more ice = less sweet cream

I would say yes but then you dont wanna be that guy and i’ve learned not to go to other Starbucks besides my own

if you’re getting the sweet cream subbed for the 2%…i imagine it would be quite a bit of sweet cream. since technically it would be most of the drink unless i’m mistaken

shaken espressos usually fill up most of the cup w/o the milk anyways and i did ask for an extra shot… even when i make the brown sugar shaken espresso it is only topped with a bit of milk! usually only about an inch w/ a shaken espresso and that’s pretty standard.

oh okay. maybe i’m making them wrong as well i guess. in my experience with making it, (if this makes a difference i usually scoop the foam off) it’s only about 3/4 of the way filled with espresso. depends of course with whatever other add ons people get, but i’m definitely usually always putting more than an inch of milk. maybe like 1 and a half or 2 inches.

Why are you scooping the foam off? The whole point of shaking the drink is that it gets nice and frothy
Advanced-Version2044 1 points 1y ago
it should be pretty full because we’re keeping most of the foam in the drink, honestly it should be about the amount of cream you put in an iced coffee (maybe a little more) orrrrrr i’m making it wrong too lol

not sure if it does, but hopefully that helps somewhat on maybe what other people are doing when they’re making your drink. lots of stores are taught differently as well
