Has anyone experienced reporting sexual harassment before? How was it handled?
I am a shift supervisor, I have witnessed sexual harassment and reported it to my SM. However, they are saying we don’t have enough evidence, etc for anything to be done. A couple partners are uncomfortable around this person because of the harassment that has happened. Multiple occasions of verbal harassment and an instance of wrongfully touching another partner. I have started taking their shifts whenever they work with this person because “nothing can be done about scheduling”. The victims of harassment confided in me and asked me to help them report before I said anything to my SM.

Call the ethics line and report what you have seen.

Did SM even look into it? Or just say “well it’s their word against the others?” If they didn’t even look into it I would go above SM, that is wild! You have multiple people and multiple occasions of harassment!

Ethics and compliance. The number can be found in the manager book, it should be the first page. Call and file an incident report, and please encourage others to do so as well if they have been a victim. They will conduct an investigation, it may take time, but results will show. They will gather information and then they will call you back to reconfirm the story, and if anything happened since the initial report you may add it then.

Ethics and compliance or partner resources. Reporting to your DM/SM may not be documented and can be swept under the rug.
