Thankkkk youuuuu i say this literally almost everyyyyyyy fucking day now . They have no clue what they’re ordering. They look at you with the biggest no thoughts behind those eyes look when you tell them “oh yea a cappuccino… is foamy.”

This shit used to make me so angry until I just started pretending that I didn't understand their request:

"So, you'd like a dark caramel latte with caramel drizzle, whip, and crunch?"

"No, I want a *hot* caramel ribbon crunch FRAPPUCCINO!" (*gives me the "you fucking moron" look*)

"Oh, I'm so sorry, but I'm super confused. You keep asking me for a frappuccino, be we can't make frappuccinos hot - a frappuccino is, well, a frappuccino, which is a blended ice drink. So... cold. Are you sure I can't make you a dark caramel latte with caramel drizzle, whip, and crunch? It's really the closest thing I can do as a hot drink."

(*The realization they're the fucking moron dawns on them.*)

*Sheepishly* "oh, yeah, okay, ummm let me think about it for a second."

*Hangs back for a literal second, then answers, refusing to make eye contact* "...sure."

we have a regular who orders a no foam cappuccino at least 4 times a week, we used to try to tell him that his order Doesn’t Make Sense, but he got so mad and threatened to call corporate so we just make him a no foam latte :’)

I make really great cappuccinos. I’m a 17XX with lots of experience on our machines. All thick foam with no bubbles. I HATE when people order cappuccinos over mobile. Any kind. My beautiful drink has 100% been ruined in the 10 minutes it took for you to show up. It’s now a shrunken, spit-bug-byproduct of what it once was…10 minutes ago. So annoying.

Nah that’s what I have everyday.. I call it the Alyssa’s drink because one of my baristas made a 4 shots of “mine is with 6 tho” espresso in a venti cup with extra ice which fills only half the cup then the other half is all half and half with vanilla syrup and it’s SOO smootthhhh and creamy it’s amazing

I have a regular who orders a wet cappuccino with no foam and I've tried to ask her for clarification, she can't explain it, and when I try to let her know how to order what she's asking for (to try to help any future baristas with the confusion)(Edit: and also help her have a positive, consistent experience)she says I'm wrong and doesn't seem to understand what I am saying. I have even asked her if the drink is right when I give it to her and she just says "idk whatever it's different every time." 🤷

Had someone ask for espresso today, I said did you just want espresso shots like a doppio espresso he repeated himself “espresso” I asked how many shots once again repeating himself “espresso” I end up giving him a doppio and he leaves without complaint.

Wet/extra wet cappuccinos and foam/extra foam lattes make me hate a customer. Youre getting a latte/capp, thats it. If you say its not right I will explain that youre stupid and what your drink is. We have a customer that orders a cappuccino light foam every day. We used to try to explain to him that he would probably prefer a latte, but now we just ring it as he orders, and make him a latte
