Hey all, so I had a question regarding our card readers that we use at window. Assuming we all have the same ones, do your store like hang the device out on the window ledge and make customers insert the chip themselves, or do you just take the card and insert the chip yourself into the reader that is positioned inside, but near the window? One of my shifts was claiming that it's company policy but I wanted to hear your take on it.

I don’t know policy, but my whole store takes the card

No one except 1 person does that at my store- they are a partner with the number 1 as the first digit in their partner number. So as you can assume, they do everything as it should be like everyone at my store besides them rings in and makes their drink, this person does not and are the only one (not even my sm has us take the order and make the drink) anyways, they are the only one to do that in my store and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some kind of policy or standard, but it has never been enforced or even told
