i was on dto and someone ordered a shaken espresso ice on the side and i carefully explained that the shots would pressurize and cause the shaker to explode and my sm, who was on bar at the time, was like “idk that they’d EXPLODE per se” and we all looked at him like -__-

I had gotten one little shake in before the lid popped up and I realized it sloshed, instead of the shake from the ice. I wouldn't want to do it more than that.
Had one person ask for a venti shaken iced espresso, no ice... no syrup... no milk... 😅 so, you want 4 hot shots of espresso?

See in that type of moment I wouldn’t be shaking there drink. You are taking out a core part of the drink so they will just get shots milk and syrups all together unshaken. I’m not risking shaking hot espresso everywhere.

I've been told to shake with ice and then strain the ice out like im a bartender or something. It makes me feel like a bartender, so I feel cool. But then I have to pour so much milk cause that's why they want no ice

that’s what i do with coconut milk refreshers because they really need the ice to to emulsify, otherwise they look awful
