Honestly yeah. It’s not the customer’s fault that their perfectly valid form of payment suddenly became unusable, and all that product’s a loss at this point anyway.

Aw what the hell lol thats nuts! So somebody ordered it in store or mobile? What all happened? I would simply pass out if i made all those drinks just to find out that they cant be sold lol

I’m at the busiest store in our district and we gives out tonnnsssss of free orders because of machines going down. Doesn’t affect us and makes the moment right. Especially if drinks are already made, even if it’s someone who’s card personally declined, we’ll just hand them out.

That’s the opportunity I saw it as. We had a sign out, but we all know how often those get looked over. I was busy and forgot to warn a couple people on DTO, so when they got to the window I just gave it to them and took the blame. It makes their day, even if it’s small and cheap, and they have a good experience and will come back again. Much better than “sorry sucks to suck” and they get a grudge.
