Yeah that was my argument. I’m glad I’m off today and don’t have to deal w the card reader shenanigans again but really this is the third time in a month that it’s happened! And MOP has been down almost that often as well

The credit card issue is with our credit card processing company through Chase. The past three major issues has been on their end, not Starbucks.
The downside? The company doesn’t have the ability to fix it.
The upside? Many other companies experience the same outage when we do and we can explain to customers that it’s not on our end. I know Lowes and Homegoods were impacted when we were the past few times as well. Anyone who uses Chase for credit card processing are experiencing the same outages at the same time.
