yep 😐 we have one SSV that’s been really bad about it lately. he’ll ask if we’ve had our second ten, and if you say no he’ll cross it off and argue with you if you confront him about it. i threatened to walk out one day if i didn’t get my 10 during a particularly hellish shift. it’s not even about being short staffed….we could have 11 partners on the floor and you’ll still have to ask why your 10 is being skipped. if he decides you’re worthy of a 10 that day he’ll give it your last hour 🙄 when my SM gets back from vacation me + a bunch of other baristas are planning to talk to her about it

but honestly….don’t be afraid to ask. you’re supposed to get your breaks. take it up with your SM if need be. if SM doesn’t do anything, go to the DM. i’ll pester my SSVs until i get my damn 10. if i need to skip it bc of staffing issues i will, but if we have staff i’m getting that small moment of quiet 💀

I’m the kind of bitch who will stay late just for my 10. You forget? I’m staying over 10 minutes just to have it. I had what should’ve been a one break one lunch shift go over just long enough that I legally was entitled to another 10. I told the ssv and they said I can choose not to take it and leave. Why wouldn’t I get paid to sit around for 10 minutes?
