Is 1 week appropriate? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Jolly_Flatworm
Long story short, I’m in over my head.

I work two jobs + my dad is currently dealing with some medical problems that will possibly require me to help with his business. At the same time, I’ve been really dreading Starbucks and my SM has changed my entire schedule to one I am not a fan of. I’m not able to work Saturdays, yet I’ve been scheduled for the next three weeks on Saturday and was told it was my job to find coverage.

Tomorrow, I’m going to give notice that I plan on leaving. I can’t drive 40+ min for this job anymore and I’m just exhausted. A part of me still has respect for my manager, but I don’t want to be here longer than I have to.

Is a week notice appropriate?

Thanks.

if you want to be on good terms in case you ever wanna work for Starbucks again I’d say two weeks and just get your shifts cover or if your manager is chill with it, put in a one week, as long as you give them some type of warning. if not, straight up just quit
