So I recently became a barista about a month and a half ago. My pay is supposed to be biweekly yet I have yet to get paid for the foreseeable future because of a Taleo issue. My partner number doesn't work either, I can't do markouts or have my own register. The drinks I get on my break are from the good graces of my coworkers and managers. I told my manager my availibility during my interview, yet I have repeatedly been getting scheduled at 5 am. I cannot make 5 am. Yet here I am being reccomended to Uber myself to work. An uber costs more than an hours work. And how am I supposed to afford an Uber, with the money I am not getting paid?

You need to contact HR if they are not respecting your availability, and if they’ve been working on this problem for “a long time” you need to call and complain again, that’s really not acceptable especially if you haven’t been paid??? Have they been paying you out at the store?

I saw my manager writing down my availability during our interview, yet I'm still getting scheduled at hours I can't do. So I don't really know what that was about. I've been able to get by so far by switching with others through the app, but I hadn't officially requested those times off on the app until around 2 weeks ago when one of coworkers reccomended it. It apparently can't go into effect on current schedules though, so it only goes into effect when the next one is being made. Fair enough, that's my problem for not doing it immediately when I got the app. As for pay, I've only recieved my tips. I guess that's what I will be buying the Uber with

If you aren’t getting paid on time the store needs to be paying you out with cash from the register, that’s totally not okay

I signed up for the etransfer. When doing onboarding I wrote down my SSN instead of my SIN which caused some issues. However when I told my manager I haven't gotten paid they just assumed it was because of that, and very passive aggressively told me "that's why you always input things correctly." I haven't brought the issue up to them since even though I should. Taleo keeps telling me that when they finally do get my number working completely I will be able to get off cycle pay for the hours I've worked, but at this point it just feels like I'm working for free with no end in sight. I'm just frusterated

I cannot access partner benefits because my number doesn't work
Comfortable-Plane9444 points1y ago
Have you contacted the partner resource center about your numbers? That’s what they’re there for
Baffa99 [OP]5 points1y ago
A long time ago. They told me there was an issue with Taleo not moving me up from the prehire status which is why it doesn't work yet. I'm still waiting for them to resolve the issue

Where would I access these benefits? I've been having a hard to finding
vividlyvioletvacancy2 points1y ago
Not in Canada, sadly ): those are US-specific benefits I think (like Spotify)
Baffa99 [OP]2 points1y ago
Yes, I wouldn't be able to get those benefits even if my number did work

Sue em!!!! That’s so fucked up. I hope you get everything figured out!
Idk if you can actually sue them, but I’ve never heard anything like this before. I’m so sorry you’re going through this

what the fuck you haven’t been paid like at all yet?????

talk to your manager or call partner services about your numbers. once you get that, request to change your availability within your partner hub and tell your manager that you put in an availability change request if it is not approved within a day or two

I've done everything here or at least attempted it, I explain it in other comments
