Partner in California here. Long story short, I was on vacation in Europe two weeks ago and halfway through my vacation I got COVID and couldn’t come back into the US without a negative test. I missed a week and a few days of work and my manager had to get my shifts covered. Am I able to get Covid pay for the week that I missed?
Additionally, if I am able to get Covid pay is that something that my manager needs to input? She’s currently on vacation in Europe (ironic) and we have a manager covering our store until she’s back in 3 weeks.

It's impossible to say without knowing more details, and even then it's such an odd set of circumstances. Did you miss scheduled shifts that were within five days of your positive test result?

Yes! I missed 5 scheduled shifts that my manager had to get covered for me
