When our espresso machines were down we weren’t allowed to put up ANY signage saying that they were down because it wasn’t to Starbucks “standard”. WORSE DAY OF MY LIFE…. Customers were VERY upset understandable cause they’d wait in line for like 10+min only to discover that they couldn’t get what they wanted!

We’ve had a couple of times in my time at Starbucks where the entire city was put on boil notice, meaning we couldn’t serve ANYTHING because it all involved water/using water to wash dishes and equipment (also the espresso machines and brewers don’t reach a rolling boil for the proper time to make the water safe). We’d have to tell people we could not serve ANY beverages and the number of times people would hear that and be like ‘ok cool I’ll take a latte then’ was ridiculous.

Like bro that’s a beverage idk what to tell you. 😭

How’s your ice machine? Ours has been busted for about 2 or 3 weeks now and we’ve had to get ice from other stores/just go buy it multiples time a day every day recently. This was AFTER two service guys because the first one thought nothing was wrong. It’s always a myriad of things at Strugglebucks

okay an edit to answer repeat questions ig:

it’s not that we ran out of espresso. both of our mastrena ii’s were broken; both of them were pulling watery, inconsistent shots, and one of them wouldn’t drain at all. they had been giving us issues since thursday, but they didn’t come to fix it until around noon on saturday.

i didn’t make the signs, y’all. 😭 i don’t know why the apostrophes were there, i didn’t make it. i showed up and all the signs were there.

we didn’t list frappuccinos on purpose, we didn’t want to encourage them.

and yes, our dm let us turn mobiles off, but because we could sell hot coffee and refreshers and cold brew, we had to remain open.
