Does anyone have a mnemonic device for remembering which is which for the Verona and Veranda roast?(self.starbucksbaristas)

I think this:
Verona is in Italy and Italian is a dark roast.
A Veranda is a place where you’d drink coffee in the morning… like a sunrise = light roast.

I actually sue the same thing!

verona = dark, veranda = blonde. verona & dark have fewer letters, whereas veranda & blonde have more letters

veranda rhymes with bland which sounds like blonde. pretty silly lmao but it works for me!

For Verona, think of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet and how it was a tragic and *dark* tale. (They lived in a town called Verona, it’s the first line of the play)
Veranda, just like another commenter said, is like a porch where you can be outside in the *light*

I only think ‘blonde veranda’ and it sorts it all out. For example, if a partner asks which is which I will reply with “blonde veranda”. It was an easy way for me to remember it when I first started, and I can honestly say I’ve never had to ask which was which.

This may be more complicated then it’s worth but I go by the second syllable. VeROna is dark, VeRAnda is light

I recall by notes: Veranda: light and mellow (like the blonde) and Verona: dark cocoa and caramelized sugar…)
