Starbucks Availability Hacks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by DecaDominatrix
I’m honestly curious if there are tips/tricks to getting the most hours/flexible scheduling while not screwing yourself over with a completely open availability. I work mornings only with Tues/Fri off.

Honestly? It’s open your availability completely. My spouse is getting close to 40 hours a week but had to do that to get there from like, 19-23

Do they work 7 days a week? That’s honestly brutal

No lol they work five days a week with open availability. Sorry that might have been confusing. There is literally no job on earth except like operating on orphans that is worth working seven days a week for that level of pay.

It depends on your store needs. I work three days per week and get all the hours I need (20), with a fairly consistent schedule

Maybe your manager would say they need more partners on Tuesdays and you could get more hours with Wednesdays off, or if you extended your availability another two hours one way or the other you’d get more hours, etc

It all comes down to your stores staffing needs, the only answer is to talk to your SM

Yup... uses to be open completely and every week was 37-39. It drained me tho, now I'm like you and only work mornings with Wednesday/Sunday off. It's crazy how much I look forward to my day off lol

Did the same bc if I don’t build in my own days off I’d be scheduled 6 days in a row every week

Hard to say without knowing your exact availability.
