Quick question about iced coffee! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by electricblackjack
The iced coffee is brewed at 1/2 batch per bag makes 2 coffees (2L container).
Could I possibly add 2 bags to the filter and brew it on full or would that mess up the flavor?

My plan was to do 2 bags make 4 coffees (2L), just as a way to save time when opening or in the middle of a rush and we run out of iced coffee.

I think it’s too much grounds to fit in the basket.

i do that sometimes but 9 times out of 10 the grounds overflow into the coffee urn.

It would risk overflowing the grounds and I definitely don’t recommend it

Yeah it will definitely change the flavor but probably only people that drink it straight with no classic, no ice, and have a very discerning taste would be able to notice the difference.

Like it would probably be noticeable by someone experienced in tasting and looking for a difference during a side by side taste test if it was straight.

Try it yourself sometime side by side and see if you can tell in a blind test maybe?

Just dont brew any and let the next shift deal with it

For a full batch the machines are calibrated to do 3 scoops for a full batch so the flavor would be off because there's too many grounds
