I need help/advice on how to quit. (self.starbucksbaristas)

So basically, I am a 17 y/o emancipated teen. I have suddenly (literally overnight) had to move out of my current residence to a place further away. I don’t own a car yet, so I walk to work every day. Because of this sudden move, I can no longer walk and I cannot afford Uber or taxis. I don’t have any way to make it to shifts if i put in my two weeks, and I don’t want to leave a bad impression by abandoning the job completely. I am conflicted.

Talk to your SM right now. Explain the circumstances. Also get in touch with PRC. They can help you navigate.

Speak with your SM immediately. Your situation might qualify for the cup fund or at very least Lyft benefits.

could you use the Lyft benefits so that you can reasonably get to work?

Speak with your SM about the ride situation. I know there is a program that utilizes ride share apps but I don't know the specifics. Its to help partners get to their store.

Talk to your SM. Look into the CUP fund. Look into starbucks benefits for commuters (city bus pass, free Lyft, etc) . stay strong

Something similar happened to me. Get in touch w your sm immediately. As long as you tell them whats going on they should get you in contact with a sm of a store near u or give you the tools to transfer to a new store
