Generally tenured or very good partners are prioritized for hours over new baristas, but that’s not always a definite. The best way to know what’s going on is to talk to your SM. Maybe you have a partner transferring soon, and then you’ll be getting some of their hours. It could just be a low-labor hour week, with fewer hours to give. It really could be a hundred different things

That’s what I thought, I don’t want to say anything to her yet because like you said it could be a million reasons, but If in say 2 months I’m still getting like less than 20 a week, I’ll say something to her. It’s just odd cuz literally yesterday we had a conversation about my performance, and whether I should stay or go back into retail

That’s totally fair. I wouldn’t necessarily suggest waiting to check in about the hours though - clear communication is important as early as possible. Even just saying “hey I wanted to check in about scheduling. I know in my interview that we had said 25-30, but I’m currently at 15-20ish hours. Is there anything I need to do to bump that up, or is there a time frame that will change in?” This way you have something to go off of

Also if you do this if you have days off where someone needs a shift covered they're more likely to ask you since they know you're looking for hours
