Do I get a new partner number if I quit and reapply later? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by amazong6
I'm probably gonna have to leave sbux for a semester or so because of uni, but I'm just curious if anyone who's left and been rehired afterwards received a new number when they were rehired. It doesn't reaaaalllyyy matter in the grand scheme of things, but I'm proud of being 299... lol. Unfortunately, there is no type of leave for students😞 so I can't just do that.

I had a 4 year gap between my time with the bucks. Can confirm that you’ll always keep your numbers

You get your same numbers back.

You keep your number and lose everything else.

Nope.
I was a 219 when I was hired.
Six years later, I confuse the fuck out of coworkers with the same number lol

Also see what you could work out with your manager. I have students come and go all the time.
Several of them go to school and work on their breaks.

Your numbers stay with you for life. I had someone come back after ten years and her numbers start with 197 tho she is clueless about everything and is basically a green bean lol

i had to do this same thing for two semesters, your numbers are unique to you so you’ll get them back :)

This is excellent news

you can go on a personal leave though…? but yeah most likely if you reapply again as a rehire you’ll get your same numbers

The longest personal leave that's non-medical is 30 days, but I need 4 months. That's why I'd rather just quit and reapply later

Nope. I quit for a few years and when I made the choice to come back, I was given my old numbers. Was pretty nifty (:
