It takes about 6 months to a year to become comfortable with the job (depending on the person). Just stick with it, you got this.

i felt exactly the same when i first started. i wanted to quit so bad but i am awful at job interviews and dread going to them. 3-4 months in i became confident in doing my job and realized what i thought was my coworkers being standoffish was just them wanting to get stuff done and focus on their job so we can get out on time (i’m a closer) they’re all really friendly actually.
i don’t know if that’s the exact situation you’re in with your coworkers, but i just thought i would share my experience with working at starbucks.

Honestly your coworkers can make or break your work life and mental health. I literally just started at the bucks and I’m way confident about it cause all my coworkers let me know that they are willing to support me when I’m struggling. If I were you I’d try to transfer to a different store before I decide if I want to quit. I’m sorry you aren’t having a good work experience tho. I hope it gets better!

It took me 3 months to feel comfortable with my coworkers, and also that long to start feeling like I know the job (but still had to ask some questions). 6 months is when I fully adapted and no longer had to ask questions any more often than anyone else does (we all still forget random tidbits of information here and there even with a year or more of experience lol).
I bet that what you’re experiencing is just the growing pains of the job. My coworkers had a sort of resentment toward me when I was new, but at about 3 months in — when the job started to feel natural to me — they became much more willing to build friendships.

i started in the first week of april, i’ve had a lot of time off this summer just traveling and my store is getting remodeled so i’m at a different store right now. i’m definitely comfortable but there are still some things i don’t know and have to ask someone. practice really does make perfect. best wishes <3

I started in August 2019, and I didn’t feel comfortable until probably December 2019.

6 months

My trainer claimed I was a prodigy and exceptional learner and I still wasn't confident on bar until month #4 or comfortable in all aspects until month 6-7... So hang in there. It is a lot, but you'll get there eventually :)

The first thing I'll tell you is that you need to not focus on your coworkers, but on your own development. It's never fair to compare yourself to others who have been doing your job a lot longer than you have.
The second thing is to remember that Starbucks can be a fast-paced environment, but you should never try to move at speeds you're not yet able to achieve. Move at a pace that works best for you, and try to get better as you go. More mistakes are made when you try to go faster than you are able.
Now that that's out of the way, I'm a little concerned that your coworkers don't seem to be very supportive. I'm hoping that it's more you being too hard on yourself, but it's still not encouraging. :(
I honestly recommend giving it a little more time. If after another couple of months you still feel like nothing's improving, then maybe start looking for another job. Nobody should have to stay in a job where they feel unwelcome, but things might get better once you're more comfortable.

I usually tell people after 3 months you should be at least able to be on any position but usually about 6 months to be comfortable in all or most of them. It’s definitely store by store as well.

I was already a barista almost 2 years at a local coffee shop and it still took me 3ish months to feel comfortable with everything.

hii! i started in january, and i’m way more confident in my skill now! i’m a fairly quiet and reserved person so i’m still not completely comfortable with my coworkers, but i get a lot less anxiety about work now. everyone knows i’m just there to do my job, and not to make friends/gossip. i’m friendly but that’s it.
