I’ve learned that being super literal with their orders helps me to enjoy my shifts a little more. I mean nothing but literal. So in this situation, I would have added the syrups, the TINY splash of cold brew, the milks TO THE TOP LINE and not a micrometer above it, ice, sweet cream and the VSC foam. They get EXACTLY what they order with me… I mean I don’t see ‘light ice’ or ‘no ice’ so by Starbucks standard you’re only to fill to the top line. If that means they only get that tiny splash of cold brew because of all the add ons, well then that’s all they get. They’re spending a good $10 on straight milk and to me thats hilarious 😂

Amen queen, I’m right there with you. If they wanna order dumb shit, it’s on them to learn how ass their taste is.
Bonus: couple of days ago someone mobiles a Venti iced EB Tea Latte, 4 tea bags, NO WATER, other modifications. It literally broke my brain bc 1) if I did it literally they’d get 4 tea bags floating in cold milk, 2) I could wait until they get there to tell them that this is not chemically possible, 3) just make it using the brewed iced tea and bypass the explanation. I’m not kidding one bit when I say I don’t care to question their stupidity and I NEVER do. Besides just not caring one bit to, I literally have no time for it. My store is really busy and waiting for them to come in so I can explain this or that to make sure they get exactly what they wanted is not my job. My job is to make what they ordered and a lot of the time it makes zero sense, but whatever. I would have put the 4 tea bags in the cold milk and went about my life.
Recently, someone ordered a triple espresso in a venti cup, add ice. So, when they showed up there was a triple espresso in a venti hot cup with ice… They rudely asked where the mobile for whoever the fuck was and I pointed to it. She said that I made it wrong and I told her that I actually made it EXACTLY as she ordered it, gave her a split second to I guess process what I had just said before I walked off to foam something or blend something or just do my job. She just left and that was that. That’s how I handle shit haha. I’m going on 2 years and haven’t had any problems so far….

Sorry for the late response! I made it using the brewed iced black tea because I decided in the end that it wasn’t the customer’s fault necessarily bc it shouldn’t have been an available option in the app to manipulate it like that. I’m trying to be class conscious and blame the right people for this (corporate/app devs) instead of the individual. In the end, I made something I thought would taste good 🤷♀️

Honestly if you make it literal and exactly as ordered, then there’s less room for “error” and if they want it remade they will 100% get the same thing again. Literal is the best route to take with these!

I would of poured the milk in a shot glass (usually 4oz) because that’s all we can give them even if they order multiples

I'd put the syrups in, the cold brew, then I'd put all the creamers in. Dump it out to the top line, then put the foam on top so it all comes out to a normal consistency with the normal amount of ice but having gotten an even amount of everything. But that's just me ♡♡ :)
