Can I transfer with a right up? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Sea-Ad1522
I got a wright up about two weeks ago for being late to work. I’ve worked at that location for almost 2 years and have only been late 3 times. My manager knew I wanted to transfer when she did this. Before that I had put in an application to a different store to be a shift (I’m a barista now). They reached out and asked for an interview next week. I currently drive 30 minutes to work and have put in my two weeks to move to target. But if I can stay with the company and be a shift I would prefer that. So is the 6 month rule set and stone or could I transfer there if that store wants me. Just trying to see if I get the job if I’ll need to be a rehire and lose my two plus years partner benefits or if transferring is possible.

I feel like you could report your manager for retaliation for the write up. It’s inconsistent enforcement of store policy specifically it seems to prevent you from transferring

You shouldn't have been written up for being late 3x in 2 years.

I believe transferring with a write up is a “soft no” technically they aren’t supposed to but the store manager from the other store can overrule it I believe. Not sure though… I’ve definitely heard of managers doing this to prevent transfers though :( I’m sorry it happened to you

I was told by corporate that only final write up’s will affect your ability to transfer
