How do y’all make your Caramel Ribbon Crunch? Noticed the computer and app say two completely different things (reddit.com)

4 DC, the additional 2 pumps are for the ones that go on the bottom/around the cup with the whip
OkFunny9774 [OP] 87 points 1y ago
Omg that’s so smart actually
OkFunny9774 [OP] 86 points 1y ago
Like no one in my store could come up with that
Torirock10 26 points 1y ago
or do u mean we put 2 on the bottom? 😳 i’ve only been doing one
dazedandconfusedhere 46 points 1y ago
1 tall 2 g 2 v
aeb01 9 points 1y ago

tevansalim 7 points 1y ago
i drizzle 4 pumps around the cup for a venti …
strawberry_sprite_ 4 points 1y ago
too much
tevansalim -1 points 1y ago
ohh dam fr?? 😐
flamingavocados 6 points 1y ago
Varies on drink size
Torirock10 20 points 1y ago
but doesn’t it get normal caramel on top
flamingavocados 30 points 1y ago
Yeah, normal caramel drizzle. This is the dark caramel pump #
Zeldaluvr2007 15 points 1y ago
Has it always had regular caramel on top? I could swear I was told to use the dark caramel (or could’ve just assumed, tbh) but I always used the regular anyway 😂
dazedandconfusedhere 32 points 1y ago
It’s dark caramel on bottom and regular drizzle on top
ofCourseZu-ar 8 points 1y ago
When it first came out it was Dark Caramel on top. They quickly changed it to regular caramel sauce/drizzle on top to avoid charging customers that wanted extra caramel drizzle.
flamingavocados 8 points 1y ago
Yeah it’s just the reg caramel!
coffeegirrrl 3 points 1y ago
Back when it was whatever it was called with the cold brew whip (that also included white mocha) it had dark caramel on top. When it changed to our current iteration with regular whipped cream, it went to regular drizzle on top.
bunnylo 5 points 1y ago
it definitely takes 2 pumps to go around the cup fully so that’s probably where the extra pump goes to

4 Dark Caramel
quickthinxallthots 49 points 1y ago
4 pumps go in the drink, but the app calculates the 2 you add to the bottom as well so 6. probably bc app is intended for customer use so it's how they know how much sugar they're getting.
ThatBichAlex 10 points 1y ago
I feel like that would throw it off though? Because if you add more pumps, will it add that to the ticket as the amount of pumps as what would be in the frap itself?
quickthinxallthots 19 points 1y ago
yeah, say someone says 10 pumps dark caramel, you would subtract two as 2 of them account for the 2 at the bottom of the cup.

i don't ever remember this in the moment though tbh. i admit its a flawed system
ThatBichAlex 11 points 1y ago
Why Starbucks? Why?
saltedpork9 19 points 1y ago
4 DC is correct
keskobalt 14 points 1y ago
Kinda dumb to include the ones on the bottom when customers don’t even know how the drink is made. Like they probably think it’s goin inside too
ayakowantsmemes 7 points 1y ago
Never knew about there being a standard pump on the bottom, I just do enough to visibly cover/ring 😬
OkFunny9774 [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Oh definitely 😂
sero5074 6 points 1y ago
2 full pumps (4 pumps) of DC in the blender and then the 2 pumps in the bottom of the cup
tinydesthique 6 points 1y ago
for a venti, it’s always 4 pumps of dark caramel. why the app lyin like that 🌚
nic626 3 points 1y ago
I honestly make most everything up as I go along. The trick is to read the sticker with an authoritative voice. Alyssa, extra hot, no foam, triple caramel macchiato!
changbinsomnia 3 points 1y ago
4 dc.. sometimes i'll add a fifth if im feelin nice or in a rush and lost count or just pumping rlly fast
whyofreason456 3 points 1y ago
i mix dark caramel and regular so it actually ducking tastes good , starbucks recipes are actually ass
nic626 2 points 1y ago
I am with you friend! Subvert the paradigm!

Such a cool community. I think anyone with a pen and value for human connection would love this job.
Broad-Flounder-4971 3 points 1y ago
Frappes are 2,3,4 for tall grande venti and idgaf about the app 🥹
peepeepoopaccount 3 points 1y ago
4 DC
rosegoldhiips 3 points 1y ago
It's supposed to be 4 so it's probably a glitch in the app
BlackberryOpposite31 18 points 1y ago
The app is referring to the 2 pumps that you add to the bottom of the cup.
rosegoldhiips 1 points 1y ago
Oh, that makes sense then
shipssiren 1 points 1y ago
I do it the way the computer says. But my difference is I put crynch in the cup because it looks much prettier with the caramel, and it sucks that it only goes on the top and not the bottom like the mocha cookie crumble does.

Which, also doesnt make sems to me that one gets topping on the bottom and the other drink doesnt, why can't they just be made the same
OkFunny9774 [OP] 1 points 1y ago
I definitely put it on the bottom too 🫠
shipssiren 1 points 1y ago
Yeah! Its so weird that they're .ade differently

I put 4 pumps of DC in the drink, and then I put 4 around the bottom of the cup. Lmao nobody has ever complained and everyone says my Fraps look beautiful :p
flamingavocados 1 points 1y ago
In general when we follow the recipe it keeps customers happy and they’re more than welcome to ask for more themselves. We don’t want customers saying their drink is made incorrectly when it isn’t :)
rpeters91 1 points 1y ago
I actually wasn't taught that it only gets a certain amount of pumps and pretty much everyone does different pumps so that's why I did it that way haha.
cloudscaping 1 points 1y ago
i measure that shit w my heart
g_pvp_3 1 points 1y ago
standard for venti frappe is 4
YorkTownBratty 1 points 1y ago
It definitely is made with four lol
deli_cue 1 points 1y ago
Yeah it’s the additional two pumps at the bottom. I usually do four at the bottom tbh.
prettylilfears 1 points 1y ago
EXCUSE ME??? S I X????
orangeygirly 1 points 1y ago
wait why do yall charge tax
OkFunny9774 [OP] 5 points 1y ago
Do you not tax everything you sell in your store? The only thing that isn’t taxed is when you get a cup of water
orangeygirly 1 points 1y ago
I’m assuming it’s a state by state thing lol, I live in CA and the drinks and food are not taxed at all. Only things that are taxed are merchandise.
OkFunny9774 [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Dang I’m surprised by that with you being in CA, I’m in Chicago
Sad_Artist8253 1 points 1y ago
I live in Florida and they tax a additional 80 cents on all our Frappuccinos
OkFunny9774 [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Lol what do you mean
goldfishmuncher 1 points 1y ago
its 4 dc, aka 2 full pumps, in the drink. one pump on the bottom (on whip) and one pump on top (also on whip)
pinkyogi 0 points 1y ago
4 half pumps = 2 full pumps
[deleted] 0 points 1y ago
[deleted]
Epona_02 1 points 1y ago
if the app was referring to full pumps it would be 2 💀

it’s 4, the app also accounts for pumps at the bottom of the cup
Substantial-Dream406 -3 points 1y ago
i say change the frap roast into cold brew and put 4 pumps of dark caramel and then the caramel toppings also add cookie toppings too
