It makes me so happy that at the airport, customers can't use the app to order so they have to remember their silly drink order.

Ok but an airport Starbucks sounds like hell 😭 like tired and stressed people getting coffee before their flight, no thanks.

Actually, it’s great.

Why?
We’re inside secure area, no robberies,
No Unruly customers,
No drive thru,
No mobile orders,
No lot to clean,
No bathrooms to keep clean,
Only have to keep inside of store clean,
Everyone has passed and FBI background check,
I don’t actually work for Starbucks, I work for HMS Host, which means I have good pay and benefits,
Yes it gets busy but there is only one line,
Business depends on flights, no one can just drop by,
We do open at 4am but it’s over pretty quickly,
I get meals at all of the other restaurants,

And so on

I’m in my second week and so far it’s all been fairly standard stuff with some modifications but nothing crazy. The lack of the app really curbs the crazy stuff imo

I thought they started opening it to airports now. I know a few around here have implemented it and I wanna cry 😭
