I was on register when a family came up and started looking at the pastry case. I told them to take their time looking through and if they wanted any suggestions to let me know. Well, one of them goes “Actually ☝️, are all of these fresh?”
My brain went blank. I froze (like our sandwiches) and I wanted to respond so badly with “yeah! They’re fresh… fresh out the freezer” but I didn’t. I just said “yeah, we get new shipments of food every morning” and they ended up deciding on a few items.

Just wanted to share this funny intrusive thought I wanted to say out-loud 😂.
